Encouraged
by the success of last year’s edition of the Gidi Culture Festival, the
organisers, Eclipse Live Africa, are determined to make the 2015 event
one to linger in the memories of tourists and fun lovers for a long
time.
As part of their efforts to make the
event, scheduled to begin on April 4 at the Eko Atlantic in Lagos,
memorable, they have signed on about 10 major music artistes from
different parts of Africa to perform during the festival.
The line-up include, M.I, SDC, Waje, Yemi
Alade, Falz, Ghana’s EL, Kenya’s Victoria Kimani, Rwanda’s Urban Boyz
and Awilo Logomba. The others are Temi Dollface, Ebisan and Kenya’s
Sauti Sol.
Also, DJ Neptune, DJ Lambo and South
Africa’s DJ Gino Brown will are expected to light up the stage, while
hosts N6 , Taymi B and British comedian, Eddie Kadi, will be in control
of the show.
Describing the forthcoming event as
carefully packaged to give the guests the best ever, Head of Talent for
The Gidi Culture Festival, Asa Asika says, “Our artists have an
understanding of what we’re building. They see the opportunity to
express themselves, through their music not only in front of thousands
but also alongside their peers from across the continent.
“We’re giving our audience a super and
diverse lineup this year with a great range of performers, musicians,
DJs and dancers. With the continent on one stage, it will be a great
show with amazing vibes. On April 4th, we’re making history. Clear your
calendars”.
While the festival lasts, the Melting
Pot, an African food court, will offer guests an opportunity to indulge
in dishes from across Nigeria. Other day activities include beach
sports, art installations and a fun zone.
