Cristiano
Ronaldo moved ahead of Real Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stefano in the
club’s all-time goal-scoring chart on Sunday evening.
According to Soccernet, Ronaldo,
30, scored yet another hat trick in the 4-1 win at Espanyol which moved
him onto 310 goals from his 299 games, and the three-time Ballon d’Or
winner is now closing in on record goal-scorer Raul who left the club in
2010 with 323 goals from 741 games.
Real Madrid say that Di Stefano scored
308 goals in 396 games, though official statistics place him on 307 –
the club attribute a goal scored in a Copa Del Rey game against Betis in
1962-63 to Di Stefano while other outlets give it to Ferenc Puskas.
Carlos Santillana, who played between 1971-88, bagged 290 in 645 games
while Puskas managed 242 in 262 games between 1958-66.
